Located beneath One South (formerly Bank of America Plaza) at the corner of Trade & Tryon, District One spans nearly 100,000 square feet of restaurants, retail, services, and public gathering spaces. Connected to One South, the Omni Charlotte Hotel, and Uptown's Overstreet Mall skywalk system, it's designed to be a place where people don't just pass through—they stay, connect, and experience the city.

Many people first discover District One because of Monarch Market, and for good reason.
The 18,000-square-foot food hall opened in late 2023 and quickly became the centerpiece of the development. With a variety of local food concepts, bars, indoor seating, and outdoor gathering areas, it's become one of Uptown's favorite places to grab lunch, meet coworkers after work, or kick off an evening in the city.

But Monarch Market is only the beginning.
Beyond Monarch Market, District One offers an impressive mix of dining, shopping, and everyday conveniences. You'll find favorites like Tupelo Honey, Ace No. 3, Eddie V's, Starbucks, Chick-fil-A, Paper Skyscraper, Just Fresh, and Walgreens, along with a variety of additional restaurants, retailers, wellness services, and local businesses.
